Elon Musk and Donald Trump apparently no longer like each other.
Trump is talking about canceling Elon’s federal contracts and investigating Musk’s companies. While Elon is threatening to tell all about Donald and the Epstein files.
After departing the White House, Elon Musk claimed Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill will cause a depression and create a deficit in the trillions of dollars.
Maga wants Elon deported. Democrats say he’s not welcome to join their party but they would like to invite him to testify before congress. Congressman Steven Lynch on MSNBC.
“Well, this is the perfect time to bring Elon Musk in, number one. He was a special White House employee, so we couldn't get him because legally, they had the ability to block that. But now he's gone, and we've got this, this ugly divorce going on between himself and, and the president. So you would think with the threats by Elon Musk to go after Republicans in the upcoming election, that that might give them the willingness to at least defend themselves and also to dig into some of these questions that exist around Elon Musk and his contracts, his access to private information of every American, IRS information, Social Security information.“
Representative Lynch is concerned about Americans losing their privacy.
“The other thing that worries me is that the Chinese have an AI system where they have full spectrum surveillance of all their citizens. We always, up to now, we have always had separate silos of information. We have, you know, the census, we have IRS, we have Social Security, but we don't allow that to come together because it would provide full spectrum surveillance of U.S. citizens. Well, Elon Musk put his people in there and they got access to everything. And his idea was to create this, this one, you know, one big silo on information on U.S. citizens. And that. That's terribly dangerous.“
Lynch says Congress should also be concerned about a drug addict having access to personal files.
“And there's more and more information coming out. The New York Times did a very good article about it. You know, the ketamine and then some other hallucinogenic drugs. It seems to coincide. These observations were made at a time when Musk was actually making decisions to fire about 250,000 federal employees.
And also he's got a handful of contracts going on with NASA, with the Defense Department, and other government agencies. So there should be an SF86 on him with a drug test and all of that to determine whether or not he has been vetted or not. I know he was a special employee, but that doesn't excuse him from drug tests and things of that nature”.
MSNBC:
“I'll just let folks know that SF86 is the form that White House employees specifically have to fill out, and they ask you questions about your drug use, places you visited, so on and so forth. And lying on that form is, in fact, grounds to have your appointment yanked away.”
Lynch:
“Not only that, but you can also go to jail.”
Kilmar Abrego Garcia may wind up going from one jail to another. He is on his way to the United States of America and will face criminal charges on his arrival. Critics say the charges have been trumped up so the Donald can save face. The high court ordered him released since Trump admitted that his arrest was a mistake in the first place.
Then there was the banana debate.
Music in:
“Come, mister tally man, tally me banana
Daylight come and me wan' go home“
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick went before congress to answer questions and defend Trump’s trade policies. He found himself up against Pennsylvania Democratic Representative Madeleine Dean who asked him to explain why tariffs were placed on banana imports?
“What's the tariff on bananas? Americans, by the way, love bananas. We buy billions of them a year. I love bananas. What's the tariff on bananas?”
“The tariff on bananas would be representative of the countries that produce them.”
“And what, what's that tariff generally?”
“10%.”
“Correct, 10%. Walmart has already increased the cost of bananas by 8%.”
Lutnick says, “That will go to zero as countries do deals with us.”
Dean replied: “Mr. Secretary, I believe you know better.”
I believe you recognize that a trade deficit is not something to fear. I believe you know that predictability, stability is essential for businesses. I wish you would show that truth to this administration.”
“There's no uncertainty. If you build in America and you produce your product in America, it will be no tariff. Build In America and pay no tariff. It’s Very, very clear.”
His answer:
“We cannot build bananas in America“
Comedy out:
“Papa. What did that dream mean? It doesn't mean anything, Anna. It's only a dream. Sometimes a banana is just a banana, Anna.”
